Menu Cards

Following the successful design of the Äniks logo, I was brought on to craft an unconventional menu that would captivate diners. Thankfully, my collaborators shared my vision for pushing boundaries. Together, we conceived a menu inspired by the mystique of tarot cards.

Each course was to be represented by a card, imbuing the dining experience with an aura of mystery and intrigue. Rather than spoon-feeding explicit descriptions, we opted for a more enigmatic approach, allowing the kitchen ample room for culinary creativity. For instance, the "pasta" card offered no concrete details, leaving diners excited and uncertain about what awaits them.

As each course is served, the chef takes center stage, unveiling both the dish and its symbolic connection to the corresponding card. This interactive element added an extra layer of engagement, transforming the act of dining into a journey of discovery and storytelling. A truly unique experience for the customer and for me during the creation stage of the project.

Restaurant logo

I was hired to do some artwork for a new tasting experience in Portland. The restaurant is a 10 corse meal ran by Ryley Eckersley. It was an honor to come on and be apart of the process. The combination of food and art is something that brings me a lot of joy. One theme of this place is going to be very outside the box and I believe that my artwork fit perfectly in there.

During the project, there was some pivots in the vision of the restaurant but I was glad to work through them. This gave me an opportunity in creating different versions and push myself.
