Illustrations

When I first drew with a pen on paper, something clicked. It was here where my journey as an illustrator began. My style has leans towards a realistic take on the world around me. I have been continuously pushing myself to improve the only way possible, more drawing. In my practice I try to challenge myself by staying away from tracing and learning to understand the shapes, volumes, lines, and shading of my subjects in the most natural way. I feel confident that I can illustrate whatever is in front of me but I have begun to pursue more art from the imagination. Having a vision of what could be and executing is a process that brings great fulfillment to my life and is something that will continue.

My skills are not limited in that I can only illustrate. Accompanied by time spent drawing, I’ve practiced in other creative mediums. Some of these being photography, film/video editing, screen printing, wood working, general fabrication and much more. These skills I look at as an asset to my toolbox. Trying new lanes of creative work has equipped me with a unique problem solving and execution attitude towards my work, whatever it may be.
